Den anerkendte kritiker Dominy Clements skrev om Reich-albummet at “Ekkozone’s recordings of both works on this CD are second to none”.

Mathias Reumert Group is a continuation of the trailblazing Danish ensemble Ekkozone (2013-2022). In order to enable greater touring activity, the number of musicians was reduced in 2023 and the band name changed to Mathias Reumert Group.

The ensemble consists of percussionists and performers Mathias Reumert, Ion Delić, Łukasz Szyszko, Hsiao-Tung Yuan and David Hildebrandt.

Joining the group on a number of upcoming albums will be  percussionist Mads Hebsgaard, clarinettist Natalie Harris, flautist Hélène Navasse, violinist Katrine Grarup Elbo, trumpeters Laszlo Molnar and Ales Klancar as well as pianists Kristoffer Hyldig and Jonas Olsson.

In November 2023, the Mathias Reumert Group released the long-awaited album ORULA, which features Louis Franz Aguirre's compositions.

As "Ekkozone", the ensemble has four albums out on Dacapo Records — featuring works by Karsten Fundal, Axel Borup-Jørgensen, Peter Navarro-Alonso and Anders Monrad/SUPERFLEX, repectively — and one album out on Mode Records: Steve Reich: Sextets, which received the Diapason d'Or prize. Praising this release, the critic Dominy Clements wrote: "Ekkozone's recordings of both works on this CD are second to none".
