Med et stort læs slagtøj og et par lidt mindre støjende instrumenter udforsker Mathias Reumert Group nutidige lyde og former. 

Gruppens debutalbum, Orula, blev i Seismograf udnævnt til en af ​​de bedste indspilninger i 2023. Albummet Wind Concertos, indspillet i samarbejde med Esbjerg Ensemble, modtog P2 Prisen 2024 — 'De 5 Bedste'. Samme år var Mathias Reumert Group et hovednavn på Copenhagen Opera Festival.

Med 2025-udgivelsen The Promises of Darkness begiver gruppen sig ud på en 82-minutter lang odyssé ind i komponisten Roger Reynolds' kalejdoskopiske univers. Albummet modtog superlativer i internationale tidsskrifter, bl.a. i Fanfare Magazine: "A superb release from all angles... The performances are faultless, as one has come to expect from Reumert and his associates. Magical."

With a truckload of percussion and a few less noisy instruments, the Mathias Reumert Group explores sounds and shapes of today. 

The group's debut album, Orula, was named as one of the best recordings of 2023 by the leading Danish music magazine, Seismograf. The album Wind Concertos, recorded in collaboration with the Esbjerg Ensemble, received the Danish Radio P2 Prize 2024 — 'The Best 5'. The same year, Mathias Reumert Group was a headliner at the Copenhagen Opera Festival.

With the 2025 release, The Promises of Darkness, the group embarks on an 82-minute odyssey into the kaleidoscopic universe of composer Roger Reynolds. The album received superlatives in international journals, including in Fanfare Magazine: "A superb release from all angles... The performances are faultless, as one has come to expect from Reumert and his associates. Magical."
